Boyd-Buchanan Student Is National Merit Semi-Finalist

Boyd-Buchanan senior, Kale Langley, has been recognized as a National Merit Semi-Finalist for 2014-2015. More than 1.4 million juniors took the PSAT in the fall of 2013 to quality for the National Merit program.  Kale is one of 16,000 students who scored in the top 1% of the nation, qualifying him as National Merit Semi-Finalist. 

He has the opportunity to advance in the competition for merit scholarship awards. Kale will be notified in the spring if he is a National Merit Finalist.

Kale has been a student at Boyd-Buchanan School since Kindergarten.
Kale is a member of the Robotics team, the Key Club, and the National Honor Society.  He has participated in the high school musical each year in lead roles.  Kale has been a Top Scholar each year since 6th grade (top 5% of the class) and has received multiple academic class awards each year.  Kale is currently an AP Scholar with Honor, receiving a score of 4 or 5 on four AP exams.  Kale is currently enrolled in five AP courses and hopes to be named a National AP Scholar after taking these AP exams in the May.
