701 Cherry
Fidelity Trust Company has a contract to purchase the old Krystal headquarters at 701 Cherry St., Matt McGauley said.
He stated, "We're very bullish on the Central Business District. We already have six buildings there, and this will be our seventh."
The three-story business block includes the Cherry Street Diner.
The building has 19,000 square feet of space.
With the acquisition, Fidelity Trust will have 90,000 square feet of space available in the Central Business District.
The original Krystal restaurant opened in 1932 at the Cherry and Seventh corner.
Krystal later built its headquarters at the site. It later moved across from the Read House at the old Union Depot site.
The 701 Cherry St. building is owned by 701 Cherry St. LLC, headed by Bob McKenzie.
