Marcus Daniel Jones Arrested For Cleveland Burglaries

Bradley County Sheriff Eric Watson announced the arrest of a Cleveland man in two burglary cases. 

Property Crimes detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division arrested Marcus Daniel Jones of Ashley Court Tuesday morning after information developed tied him to the theft of a set of golf clubs from a residence on Mulberry Lane. The value of the clubs, since recovered by officers, was listed at $3,000.

In another burglary case, Jones was charged with the theft of a chainsaw, weed eater and cordless drill at another residence nearby, on Whisperwood Trail. He waived his Miranda rights and was interviewed by CID officers at the Judicial Complex, where he admitted commission of the burglaries and subsequent thefts.

Jones was charged with aggravated burglary, burglary and two counts of theft over $1,000. He was booked into the Bradley County Jail. 

Sheriff Eric Watson commended Bradley County CID detectives for their diligence in clearing both burglaries.
