Emma Herrit, 96, of Cohutta, GA, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Herrit; son, Victor Herrit; and parents, Bernard & Nita Furbee.
She was a member of Cohutta First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by a son & daughter-in-law, Ronald & Suzanne Herrit of Cohutta; grandchildren, Steven & Heather Street, Bryan & Jennifer Herrit and Amanda & Kevin Herrit; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, Dennis and Bernard Furbee, James Spear and Joanne Spear Devachio.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 6, at 2 p.m. at the Cohutta First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Susan Reggin officiating.
Arrangements are by Julian Peeples Funeral Home, Pleasant Grove Chapel, Dalton.
