Marshall LaBron "Moose" McGill, 75, of Chickamauga, died on Friday, August 29, 2014.
Marshall served in the U.S. Navy and later retired from Colonial Bread Company after 26 years of service there. He loved fishing, flea markets, gardening, animals particularly his dog, "Bo" and working as an auctioneer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe McGill.
Survivors include his wife, Sue McGill of Chickamauga, mother, Velma "Memaw" Porter of Rossville, children, Chan McGill of Rome, Ga., LaBron McGill of Hiram, Ga., Sandra Benefield of Waco, Ga., Mellissa Brodie of Ringgold, Carmen Lutton of Rossville, brother, Kenneth McGill of LaFayette, grandchildren, Brittany, Kyle, Brooke, Morgan, Steven, Abigail, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, and prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
