Goode, John Davis II

John Davis Goode II, 85, of Ringgold, died on Wednesday,  August 27, 2014 at his home. 

He was a retired U.S. Army veteran, and also retired of the Chattanooga Electric Power Board.  He was a member of the Ringgold United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Goode, Ringgold; a son, John Douglas (Debbie) Goode, Chattanooga;  a daughter, Susan (Gerald) Goode Brown, Fort Oglethorpe, a stepson, J.K. (Carly) Lockhart, Baton Rouge; his former wife, Bettye McDaris Goode, Chattanooga; four grandchildren, Kari Goode (Mark) Dillard, Flintstone; Joshua (Summer) Brown, Ringgold; Sarah Goode (Charlie) Ritchey, Chickamauga; Adam (Jill Hobbs) Brown, Cohutta; an expected grandchild, Jude Davis Lockhart, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30,  at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway. 

A family graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 2, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
