Floyd Richard Hollis, 74, of Dalton, GA, passed away Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Regency Park.
Mr. Hollis was born January 31, 1940, in Grundy County, TN to the late Floyd Andrew and Vergie Johnson Hollis. He was a retired truck driver for Brown Industries.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-three53 years, Charlotte Ann Miolen Hollis of the residence; son and his fiancée, Richard Glen Hollis and Nancy Haley; sister and brother-in-law, Hilda and Kenneth Gaston all of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Christopher and Jillian Alexander-Hollis of Chattanooga and Bryan Hollis and his fiancée, Blake Stefanick of Savannah, GA; and nieces and nephews, Kimberly, Nancy, Judy, Bobby Jr., Amanda and Michael.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Floyd Richard Hollis will be held Thursday, August 28, at 3 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Duane Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27 and after 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 28.
