Linda Smith
Linda Gail Ivey Smith, 64, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, August 25, 2014.
She was born in Chickamauga, and was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Evelyn Ivey and brother, Jackie Ivey.
Linda was retired from Olan Mills. She was an avid bowler, loved to work the crossword puzzles and square dance.
Linda is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Angela (Duane) Leffew; four grandchildren, Andy (Haley), Casey (Heather), Lacey and Ryan Goodner; four great-grandchildren, Hayden, Madyson, Kelsey and Michael; twin sister, Brenda Hickman and sister, Faye Ivey; brother, Ray Ivey; many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff and nurses, Katy, Janet, Connie, Don, and Debbi at Avalon Hospice and her loving twin sister, Brenda for their love and care given to Linda during her illness.
The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, and 12-2:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, at the North Chapel.
A celebration of life service for Linda will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, at the funeral home chapel with Reverend Adam Clagg officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
