George H.C. “Butch” Reynolds, 71, of Harrison, died on Sunday, August 24, 2014.

A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, he was retired from AT&T and was a member of the St. John United Methodist Church. He was a member of an antique car club and loved driving and showing his red 1934 Chevrolet Coup.

He was the son of the late George Howard Reynolds and Dorothy Carr.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Reynolds; son, Jeff (Amy) Reynolds, Knoxville; one granddaughter, Hallie Reynolds; (adopted son), Sam Sledge, Harrison; brother, Mark (Melody) Reynolds, Sarasota, Fl.; nephew, Russell Reynolds, Sarasota, Fl.; niece, Julie Bell, Ringgold.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 1, at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
