Messer, William C. "Chuck" III (Cleveland)

William C. "Chuck" Messer III, 47, of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2014.  

He was born December 3, 1966 in Cleveland, TN to the late William C. and Patricia Ann Messer.  Chuck proudly served his country in the USMC.


He is survived by his wife, April L. Messer; three children, Emily Lynn and her husband Corey Fohs; son, William C. Messer IV (C.J) and daughter Marilyn Adele Messer; and step-son, Logan Rhea Mikeal all of Cleveland; two grandchildren, Caroline Grace and Meredith Jane Fohs; a brother, John Wiggins; two sisters, Vicky Martin and spouse Jimmy Lemons and Angie and husband Tim Bacon; two nephews, Timothy and Bubba Bacon and their families; father and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Mary Ann Scoggins; brothers-in-law, Brian and Ray Scoggins and their families; and many friends.


A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26, at Tasso United Methodist Church located at 1106 Tasso Lane, Cleveland, TN 37312.  Pastor Rodney Dunn will be officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26.


In lieu of flowers, donations are to be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital located at 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Companion Funeral has charge of the arrangements.
