David Raymond Horton, 70, of Dayton, TN, died Friday afternoon, August 22, 2014 at his home in Dayton.
He was born June 28, 1944 in St. Petersburg, FL to Virginia (Fannin) Byers and the late Raymond V. Horton. A resident of Dayton for the past year, David originally resided in St. Petersburg, FL where he was employed as a carpenter. He served his country in US Navy.
David is survived by his mother, Virginia (Fannin) Byers; his sister, Mary Sugden, both of Dayton; his brother, John Thomas of St. Petersburg, FL; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.
Graveside services with military honors for David will be held Wednesday, August 27 at 1:30 p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home.
