A Painting Potpourri Exhibit Has Opening Reception Sept. 7

Region III of the Tennessee Watercolor Society will presents “A Painting Potpourri”, a watermedia experience, during September through Nov. 19 at the North River Civic Center in Hixson.  There will be an opening reception on Sunday, Sept. 7, form 2-4 p.m. 

Watermedia encompasses watercolor and acrylic paints applied on traditional paper, plastic paper and canvas. As watermedia expands to include a variety of techniques and paints, the Region III group has expanded their definition of a watermedia event. There will be colorful paintings of all subjects making this exhibit “A Painting Potpourri,” said officials.

The public may select their favorite painting for the “People’s Choice” award.
