Betty S. Bowling, 90, of Loudon, TN and formerly of Cleveland, TN, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014 at River Oaks Assisted Living in Loudon.
She was a member of the South Chattanooga Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Grace Mae Gaffney Morgan; first husband, Winfred Shadwick and second husband, James Bowling; son, Ray Shadwick; and siblings, James Morgan and Agnes Campbell.
Survivors include her daughters, Teresa Harris and husband Ronnie Harris and Gail Welch and husband, Ray Welch; grandchildren, Mitchell Harris, Jenny Lipps, Michael Shadwick, Daniel Shadwick, Nicole Welch and Stacy Lemley; great-grandchildren, Emily Rollins, Tommy Rollins, Abigail Lipps, Sydney Harris, Lane Harris, Riley Harris, Peyton Hunter and Madison Buckner; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 18, in Greenwood Cemetery in East Chattanooga with Bishop Edward Varner officiating.
Her family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, August 17 at Fike Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
