Thelma Hitchcox, 85, of Pikeville, TN, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benton Hitchcox; parents, Raymond and Mayme Gifford; and siblings Raymond Gifford, Jr., Rowena Gifford, Charles Gifford and Judy Tucker.
Survivors include her children, Leon (Gail) Hitchcox, Pikeville, Mayme (Randall) Phillips, Dunlap and Charles Hitchcox, Pikeville; grandchildren, Randy (Tiffany) Phillips, Benji Phillips, Micah Hitchcox and Sarah (Ben) Parrish; great-grandchildren, Brad & Bella Phillips; sisters, Marietta London, Evalene Shannon, Alvalene Holland and Linda Clark; brother, Edgar (Jean) Gifford, all of Pikeville; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Sunday, July 6, in the chapel. Burial will be in McDowell Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Hwy 127 South, Pikeville, TN.
