Anthony Lebron Herring, 57, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014.
He was born on February 26, 1957 to the late Napoleon Gaither and Lucille Herring Armour. Anthony was of the Christian faith and a member of Allenee Memorial Church. He was lifelong resident of Chattanooga and graduated from Nuernberg American High School in Germany in 1975. From there he joined the U.S. Army in 1978 and served for eleven and half years, being released from active duty in 1989. His most recent occupation was a professional independent truck driver for the last 15 years.
In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Harold Armour.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary Herring; one daughter, Lucsendea Herring of Chattanooga; son, Anthony L. Herring II of Chattanooga; three grandchildren, Miracle, Kaliv and Kayla; and several other extended family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, August 1, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Robert Cooley officiating.
