David E. Kulski Dies From Injuries In Crash With Minivan On Highway 58

The driver of a pickup truck died from injuries in a collision with a minivan on Highway 58 on Thursday morning.

He was identified as David E. Kulski, 61.

At approximately 8 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a traffic crash at 6100 Highway 58. Investigators determined that the minivan was traveling south and the pickup truck was stopped in the middle turn lane facing north. 

For reasons yet to be determined, the pickup truck suddenly turned left in front of the minivan causing the collision.  The driver of the minivan suffered minor lacerations and the passengers, two children, suffered only minor injuries.  The children were properly secured in child restraint seats, which saved their lives, police said. 

Mr. Kulski was transported to a local hospital by EMS.
