Bid Is $11,696,858 For Next 3 Phases Of Riverwalk Toward South Chattanooga

Thomas Brothers Construction has a low bid of $11,696,858.49 for constructing the next three phases of the popular Tennessee Riverwalk.

P&C Construction bid $15.3 million.

The heavily landscaped walkway currently ends at Ross's Landing Park. New phases go past Cameron Harbor, Alstom, and on south toward Lookout Mountain.

Funding will be by federal and state grant funds in the amount of $6,785,481.00; private donations in the amount of $3,166,978.00; and public funds in the amount of $1,744,399.49 (split between the city and county).

Barge Waggoner Sumner and Cannon drew up the plans.
