Evans, Frederick L. Sr., 73, of Decatur, Tennessee, died on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at a local health care facility.
Mr. Evans was of the Baptist faith. He was the son of the late Monroe and Bessie Evans and was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Evans and grandson, David Esslinger.
Survivors include his four sons, Frederick (Martha) Evans Jr., Dayton; Terry (Susan) Evans, Ooltewah; Michael (Donna) Evans, Decatur; Christopher (Debbie) Evans, Dayton; daughter, Robin (Henry) Grimes, Rome, Ga.; brothers, David Evans, California; Robert Evans, Ringgold; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Audie May officiating. The interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
