Curtis Lee Morris, Sr., 72, died on July 23, 2014.
Curtis was born in Hartselle, Al., on Dec. 29, 1942. He was raised and lived in Chattanooga. He served proudly in Vietnam in the United States Army. He was self-employed and worked as a cab driver for United and Mercury Cab companies.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Mr. Cluster Morris and Fannie Beatrice Orr Dixon; brother, Lester Morris.
He is survived by a loving son, Curtis L. Morris, Jr. and daughter, Malisa (Gerald) Sorrells Parham; seven grandchildren, Taylor, Tariq, Adrianna, Jordan, Gerald, Jr., Takeisha and JaNece, all of Chattanooga; seven sisters, all of Hartselle Al.; several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 29, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon on Monday, July 28, and the family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
