James Robert "Jake" Jackson, 54, of Cleveland, TN, passed away on April 16, 2014 in Nashville, TN, succumbing to injuries sustained in an automobile accident on December 26, 2013.
Jake was born on November 27, 1959 in Atlanta, GA. He was a graduate of Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, TN. He was employed as a mechanical engineer by Whirlpool Corporation in Cleveland, TN at the time of his death and was previously employed by Poulan/Electrolux in Nashville, AR.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Krogman Jackson of Cleveland, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Josh & Catherine Jackson of Cookeville, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Jaima and Scott Shoup of Cookeville, TN; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Rebecca Jackson and Kyla Shoup all of Cookeville, TN; mother and step-father, Veva and Billy Foster of Horatio, AR; brother, David Jackson of Horatio, AR; father, Ed Jackson of Houston, TX; step-daughter, Janean Mills of Cookeville, TN; step- granddaughters, Jocelyn and Jaylin Mills; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Jake's Physical body was cremated at his request and a memorial service is planned for Saturday, July 26, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to Horatio United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice in Jake's memory.
