Kathy Denise Westmoreland Shipp, 55, of Rock Spring, Georgia, died on Thursday, July 24, at a LaFayette Nursing Home.
A native of East Ridge Tennessee, she has lived in the Rock Spring area for the past 22 years. Kathy attended East Ridge High School and was of the Christian faith. She was a former employee of Best Western, Chattanooga Times Free Press and was a special education teacher at Rock Spring Elementary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Ray and Anna Ray Bell Westmoreland.
She is survived by her son, Cory Alan Shipp of Rock Spring, Ga..; grandson, Brody Matthew Shipp and brother, Kenny Westmoreland of East Ridge.
There will be no service at this time.
