Rosemarie Crnkovich Green, 80, of Cleveland, TN since 1988, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2014 after a lengthy battle with various illnesses.

Rosemarie graduated from Lyons Township High School in LaGrange, IL in 1951 and worked for many years as a secretary. She also worked as a radio dispatcher for the McCook Police Department and later in the office of the Cleveland Police Department where she made many friends. Rosemarie was very proud of her Croatian and Swiss heritage and enjoyed genealogy. Her love of quilting and crafts began in 1958 when she worked with her former mother-in-law to make a beautiful hand-stitched quilt.

She attended Spring Place Church of God of Prophecy until illness prevented it and was blessed by the friendship of the congregation who continued to minister to her to the end, especially Brother and Phyllis Wright and Wilma Whaley. She particularly enjoyed the music at Spring Place and loved to sing old hymns and songs from her childhood. Rosemarie loved the senior Sunday School Class members and also the ladies of First Lutheran Church where she often attended fellowship activities with her daughter.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Michele Green; her parents, Michael and Amelia Weber Crnkovich; an infant brother; and several brothers and sisters-in-law.

She is survived by her former husband and father of her children, Baxter Green; daughter, Debra Conner and husband Ray; grandchildren, Lisa Conner, Michael Conner and wife Danielle, all of Cleveland and Nicholas Giordano and girlfriend, Eve Dilbeck of Benton, TN; great-grandchildren, Analiza and Logan Conner; sisters, Esther Myrick and Betty Schweigert of McCook, IL; brother, George Crnkovich of McCook; several nieces and nephews; and many beloved friends.

The celebration of her life service will start at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 26 and will be conducted by Brother Eric Washburn and Brother Coile. The interment will follow the service in the Sugar Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her former co-workers at the Cleveland Police Department, Brian Montgomery, Mike Ricker, Steve Tyson and Robert Suits, grandson, Nicholas Giordano and friend of the family, Jared King.

The family will receive visitors from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday, July 26 at the Spring Place Church of God of Prophecy located at 2600 Spring Place Road in Cleveland, TN.

Companion Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
