Jerry L Shelton, 49, of Benton, TN, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 in a Chattanooga Hospital.
He was born on November 2, 1964 to the late William Tommy and Mamie Ann Shelton. Jerry was known for never meeting a stranger and always having a very happy spirit. He was a very hard worker, serving at Life Bridges in Cleveland for almost 20 years. In addition to these, he also loved going to church.
In addition to his mother father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Thomas Shelton.
He is survived by four sisters, Lizzie Rebecca Fountain, Wanda Darlene Lamove (Joe), Julie Gail Shelton and Anna Ruth Roberts; one brother, James E Shelton (Leatrice); andmany nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 25, at Companion Funeral and Cremation Service located at 2415 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, July 25 at the Companion Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
