Dorothy Pearl Dwyer, 57, of Apison, TN, passed away on Monday morning, July 21, 2014 at her home.
Dorothy was born in Cleveland, OH on April 14, 1957 to the late Cecil & Eva Emmert. She was a resident of Cleveland, TN for 33 years where she raised her children. Dorothy attended First Lutheran Church in Cleveland, TN. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren cherishing the special times enjoyed outdoors appreciating God’s wonderful creations. Dorothy was known for her compassion, liveliness and love for children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Clark and Alice Houp; and one brother Cecil Emmert.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Corrin Fulton and husband Scott and Dawn Emmert-Tate; two sons, Joseph Dwyer and wife Kimberly and Nicholas Dwyer; grandchildren, Cameron Dwyer, Madison Tate, Alexzander Dwyer, Jacquelyn Dwyer, Liam Fulton, Savannah Dwyer and Samuel Fulton; one brother, James Emmert (Alice); one sister, Brenda Dwyer; and numerous other extended family members and special friends.
A graveside celebration of her life is planned for Friday, July 25 at 10 a.m. in the Lee Cemetery in McDonald, TN.
The family will receive friends on Thursday July 24 from 5-7 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN.
