Malia Scott, 49, of Birchwood, TN, passed away on Friday night, July 18, 2014 at her home.
Malia was born on January 12, 1965 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was a member of the Cedar Ridge Seventh-day Adventist Church in Georgetown where she was active in the VBS program. Malia enjoyed horses and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Willy Kowarsch; and two uncles, Dieter & Heinz Kowarsch .
Malia is survived by her loving husband of 11 years, Rickey Scott; her mother, Heidi McFarland; her father, Carlton Boudreaux Jr. and his wife Sue; sisters, Elizabeth McFarland and Darlene McCracken; brother, Carlton Boudreaux III (Misty); nieces and nephews, Alex McCracken, John McCracken, Bralyn McCracken, Haley McDonald, Devin McDonald and C. J. Boudreaux; and numerous other extended family members, church family and special friends.
A celebration of her life is planned for Wednesday, July 23 at 3 p.m. at the Cedar Ridge Seventh-day Adventist Church located at 8408 Highway 60 in Georgetown, TN with Pastor Ben Brown officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Vacation Bible School at Cedar Ridge Seventh-day Adventist Church in Malia's memory.
