Chicken Salad Chick Opens Second Chattanooga Location

  • Tuesday, July 22, 2014

Chicken Salad Chick is scheduled to open its second franchise location in Chattanooga today. The new restaurant is located at 1820 Gunbarrel Road Suite 200, Chattanooga, TN  37421.

“We are so excited to add another location to the new Chicken Salad Chick community in Tennessee,” said president Kevin Brown. “With our other Chattanooga restaurant located downtown, we believe that this site will better serve those who are in the more residential areas of the city.”

The new restaurant is owned by Josh Patton, current owner of the first Chattanooga location on Market Street that opened in April. “I’m very excited to open my second location today in an upscale shopping center near the Hamilton Place Mall,” said Patton. “Chattanooga is in for another real treat!”

The Chicken Salad Chick concept was established in Auburn, AL in 2008 in the kitchen of founder, Stacy Brown.  Stacy quickly learned that selling a homemade recipe from her kitchen is against the law, and after being shut down by the health department, she decided to solicit the business expertise of her future husband and fellow founder, Kevin Brown. Together, they opened a small takeout restaurant which quickly grew to enormous demand and additional locations. The unique concept puts an edgy twist on a southern classic by offering customers a “custom-fit” chicken salad experience, with 15 original flavors to choose from, as well as gourmet soups, flavorful side salads and freshly-baked desserts. Chicken Salad Chick has sold 85 franchises to be developed across the states of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and North Carolina and South Carolina, and has plans to expand nationally in the coming years.

“It is so encouraging that one of our most loyal customers is opening two Chicken Salad Chicks within a few months!” said Founder Stacy Brown. “We got to know Josh when he was a student at Auburn and frequent customer of our original location, and we are so excited that he is bringing our concept and passion to Tennessee.”
