John B. Massey, 82, died at his home surrounded by his family early Monday morning, July 21, 2014.
He was just two weeks away from celebrating 63 years of marriage to his lifelong friend and cherished supporter, Ralphie Amanda Massey. Reverend John B. Massey was born June 24, 1932 in Pine Bluff, AR where he attended Watson Chapel School. Reverend Massey was an outstanding football player, outdoorsman, Korean War veteran, reader and a man of the Bible. He attended Lee University 1958-1960. He pastored for more than 50 years across Arkansas, New Jersey, Illinois, Ohio and Tennessee. Pastoring was his greatest passion and he enjoyed it well. Reverend John B. Massey has received many commendations and articles of recognitions over the years. But his greatest achievement is his family that serves the Lord and will one day be together in eternity. It is not good-bye to our family leader, but until we meet again.
