Francis William “Frank” Walker, 83, of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014 in a local hospital.
Frank was born on May 20, 1931 in Colorado to the late Glenn and Ada Walker. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Navy after faithfully serving his country during the Korean War after which he was awarded several medals. Frank was retired from Schering-Plough. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and enjoying the great outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Francis Walker; three daughters, Linda Clary, Mary Lee Tate and Cindy Craigo; and one sister, Mildred Schaflie.
He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Masters of Chattanooga and Deborah King of Cleveland; two sons, Mike Walker of Arizona and David Masters of Jamestown, TN; four sisters, Jean Belcher, Mae Dreese, Betty Williamson and Murna Wood all of Kansas; several grandchildren and great- grandchildren, numerous other extended family members; and a host of special friends.
A graveside service is planned for Tuesday, July 22 at 1 p.m. in the Earls Cemetery located on Harrison Pike.
