Mable A Ogburn, 97, of Ooltewah, TN, died on Thursday, July 17, 2014.
Mable was born on the April 21, 1917, in Lincoln, AL. In 1985, she moved to Ooltewah from her family’s farm in Goodwater, AL, and quickly embraced her neighbors in a loving and caring manner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Davis Leon Ogburn; and her daughter, Betty S. Lumpkin.
Mable is survived by her son-in-law, Roy L. Lumpkin Jr.; grandson, John Davis Lumpkin and his wife Rose; and four great-grandchildren, Chad H. Lumpkin, Sean Davis Lumpkin, Jenna Kae Lumpkin and Joshua Karl Lumpkin.
Mable’s interment and graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 21, in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens, with her grave being adjacent to her husband, who passed on before her. Minister Richard Baff of Mountain View Christian Church will conduct the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you to either contribute to the Mountain View Christian Church or to a charity of your choice.
