The questions of Weston Wamp's employment continue to swirl around in the press. Now a complaint to the Federal Election Commission has been filed against Weston. The facts are simple:
In Weston's financial disclosure that he submittted; he claims to have been paid $2,000 a month in 2013 for a total of $24,000. In that same disclosure Weston claims to have been paid almost $15,000 per month in 2014 for a total of $67,000.
Weston's boss Allan Davis claims that Weston, during 2014, has been on "paid leave of absence." Mr Davis made this comment twice to a Times Free Press reporter. Mr Davis made $300,000 Super PAC contribution for Weston.
Weston has many times condemned Super PACs. If questions arise based on something as basic as Weston's means of employment, how would Weston's dealings in Congress be where Weston's father is a lobbyist?

Let's look at what Mr. Fleischmann has done since being appointed to the House Appropriations committee. According to Fox News, an average of $100 billion taxpayer dollars have been overpaid by the departments that Mr. Fleischmann has direct oversight. So that adds up to $400 billion since he was elected, using Fox News figures. That should outrage every American that Chuck and the rest of the Appropriations committee seem asleep at the wheel.
As far as pay, the Washington Times, a conservative newspaper, shows that in 2012 that Mr. Fleischmann is worth $3 million, much higher than when he went to Congress. How is it that he was worth $700,000 when he went to Washington and now is worth four times more when he only receives a salary of $174,000? He asked for and received an extension to file his 2013 public disclosure of his assets. We can only speculate as to why he needs until after the primary to disclose this information.
I believe that it is time for a change in Washington. In fact, I think that term limits would be a good thing. It appears that Mr. Fleischmann plans to make the rest of his career as a politician. If Congress will not pass term limits, then perhaps we the people should do that for them. It would also be refreshing to have a Congressman who returns calls and requests.

"Rachel, your "facts" are erroneous. Before you attempt to mislead the public, please spend more time studying how FEC disclosures work. As the Times Free Press reported this week, the $67,000 number reflects a full year of pay from mid-2013 to mid-2014. The $24,000 number reflects my pay in the first part of 2013, which was not included in the $67,000 number, per FEC requirements. Your accusation that I went from $2,000 a month to $15,000 a month is as baseless and ridiculous as our Congressman's allegation I am a Democrat.
I hope voters can see through the sad, negative campaign being run by Congressman Chuck Fleischmann. After four years in office, he still doesn't have a record to run on.
