Davis, Clyde Herman (Decatur)

Clyde Herman Davis, 86 , of Decatur, TN, died Wednesday July 16, 2014. 

He was a lifelong resident of Meigs County, a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church, Amets, VFW and Moose Lodge. 

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Oma Lee (Rinehart) Davis; wife, Berta Lou (Arnold) Davis; brothers, Ross, Wayne, Gene and Bob Davis; and sisters, Francis Monroe and Margie McCain. 

He is survived by son, Jerry Davis, of Decatur; daughter, Brenda L. Wright, of Decatur; brothers, Glen and his wife Faye Davis and Stanley Davis, all of Decatur; sisters, Barbara and her husband Ronnie Powell, of Georgetown, Shirley Melton, of Hixson and Sandra Johnson, of Decatur; three grandchildren, Katie Davis, Tim Keaton and Kim Spurling; three great-grandchildren, Christy Sitzlar, Michael and Heather Spurling; two great-great-grandchildren, Jaylen and Lilly Sitzlar; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. 

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 19, with Rev. Mike Rymer officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery where friends and family will meet. 
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Walnut Grove Cemetery fund. 

Bowers Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
