Elsie Mae Smith, 93, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 in a local health care facility.
She was the daughter of the late Mary Liza Webb Wilburn and William Isaac Wilburn; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy T. Smith; sisters, Willie Eckstein, Eula Smith and Pearl West; and brothers, Clarence Wilburn and Elmer Wilburn.
She worked in the retail business for 40 years, She was a member of the Clingan Ridge Baptist Church where she enjoyed traveling with the XYZ’s group and enjoyed quilting with the quilters club.
She is survived by her sister, Mamie Wisser of Springfield, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, great- nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews and great-great-great-nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life Service will conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, July 18, from the North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Reverend Ricky Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery in St. Elmo with nephews serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 18 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of the arrangements.
