City Awarding $290,000 To Faith-Based Group As Part Of Violence Reduction Initiative

The city is planning to award a $290,000 contract to a local faith-based organization as part of the city's Violence Reduction Initiative.

The grant to Hope for the Inner City is for case management and support services, according to the resolution prepared for the City Council.

The council is to consider the item next Tuesday night.

Hope for the Inner City is a merger of two non-profits that were both spawned by New City Fellowship church in Glenwood.

They were Inner City Ministries and Hope For Chattanooga.
