Cleveland Police Lieutenant Relieved Of Duties; Case Referred For Possible Criminal Charges

Cleveland Lieutenant Steve Tyson has been relieved of duty as of July 2, pending an internal affairs investigation, officials said Friday.

The Cleveland Police Department has contacted the District Attorney’s Office and made them aware of the ongoing internal affairs investigation.

It will be at the discretion of the District Attorney’s Office to review for criminal charges or order a criminal investigation, it was stated.
