High School All-Star Girls Soccer Rosters Announced

The Georgia/Tennessee All-Star series will continue on Friday with the girls soccer match that will take place at 4 p.m. at Finley Stadium.

The game will be followed by the Chattanooga Football Club's womens home game at 7:30.

Brett Propels Covenant Softball To Double Header Sweep Friday

STAUNTON, Va. -- It was only a matter of time, but Covenant softball senior Jordan Brett made a record-breaking hit count in a big way. Brett's two-run homer in the fifth inning broke a scoreless tie in game two and helped propel Covenant to a doubleheader sweep with 7-5 and 3-0 wins over Mary Baldwin on Friday afternoon. Reed Hits, Pitches Bradley Past Lincoln County 9-0

Bradley Central’s Caleb Reed threw a complete game four-hitter on Friday as the Bears blanked Lincoln County 9-0 in the Ooltewah Invitational. Reed struck out nine in the game. Playing at home at the Toby McKenzie Baseball Complex, Bears pitching recorded their second straight shutout. On Thursday, Bradley shut down Jefferson County 4-0 on Tripp Storrs’ two-hitter. ... Motorcyclist Killed In Wreck On E. 34th Street

Brandon Tuders, 21, was killed in a motorcycle accident Friday afternoon.   Chattanooga Police Officers responded to a single vehicle motorcycle crash in the 1900 block of East 34th Street.   The accident occurred at approximately  12 p.m.  Witnesses said the motorcycle was traveling east on 34th Street on the wrong side of the road in a curve. ... Firefighters Respond To House Fire Friday Afternoon On Cameron Lane

The  Chattanooga Fire Department responded to 4921 Cameron Lane on a residential house fire on Friday around  12:30 p.m. The homeowner said that he returned home to see smoke coming from his roof top vents.
