Robert Ted Hoover, Sr. of Flintstone, Georgia, died on Thursday, April 24, 2014.
Mr. Hoover was owner and operator of RT Customs for several years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved making people laugh. He enjoyed gardening, loved animals and nature. Mr. Hoover served his country in the United States Navy.
Survivors include his son, Robert (Rachel) Hoover, Jr. of Dalton, Ga.; daughters, Jana Hoover of Flintstone, and Jennifer (Andrew) Hoover Hayes of Benton, Tn.; a brother; David (Carolyn) Hoover of Flintstone, and nine grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, April 29, at 12:30 p.m. in the Flintstone United Methodist Church, Flintstone, with the Reverend Vernon Windom officiating. Entombment will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 12 p.m. until the funeral hour at the church.
Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory at the end of Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
