Bray, Emily Adams (Dalton)

Emily Adams Bray, 82, of Dalton, GA, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Bray Jr. in 2004; and grandson, Branton Lee Bray.

Emily was a member of the Dalton First Baptist Church and was a volunteer at Hamilton Medical Center for approximately 45 years.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Carla Bray of Dalton; daughter and son-in-law, Laura Lynn and Joseph Swafford of Lawrenceville, GA; grandchildren, Beau and Rachel Bray of Ringgold, Rebekah Bray Cook and Blake of Dalton, Brady and Rachel Holcomb of Cumming, GA and Matt Holcomb of Atlanta; and great-grandchildren, Joseph Bray Holcomb, Charlotte Ann Holcomb, James Branton Bray and Christopher Davis Bray.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 21 at 2 p.m. at the Dalton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Cannon and Dr. Bill Ireland officiating. Burial will be West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the atrium of the church on Monday, April 21 from 12-2 p.m.

The family ask that flowers please be omitted and memorials be made to the Dalton First Baptist Church Benevolent Fund, P.O. Box 827, Dalton, Ga. 30722-0827.
