Billie Jean Bittenbender
Billie Jean Bittenbender, 84, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, Apri1 16, 2014.
She was born in Detroit, and raised in Ringgold. She was a resident of Chattanooga for more than 50 years where she enjoyed nursing for the better part of her life. She was a longtime member of Silverdale Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Arthur L. Bittenbender, parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.E Spencer of Ringgold, and grandson, Timothy David Bittenbender.
She is survived by one brother, Phillip E. Spencer of Ringgold; four children, Beverley Kelley of Cumming, Ga.; Garry and Tommie Bittenbender of Fort Oglethorpe, Timothy and Debbie Bittenbender of Red Bank, and Tammy and Luke Queen of Chattanooga; five grandchildren, Garrett, Dee Dee, Amber, Heidi, and Andrew; and three great-grandchildren, Justin, Correy, and Olivia.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 18, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
