Extended Easter Sunday Service At Covenant Presbyterian

  • Thursday, April 17, 2014

The Easter Sunday worship service at 9:30 a.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 8451 East Brainerd Road, will be an extended service with no other activities that day.

A Seder service Thursday at the Colonnade in Ringgold, commemorates the exodus of the Jews from Egypt, eaten together by Jewish families the first night of Passover. What the church will do Thursday night is a reminder of how  important it is to recall what took place in Egypt, the significance of the events of that night and anticipate events that would occur at Calvary.

It will be a family meal with the focus on remembering what God has done. Registration is required.

Saturday the annual egg hunt will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a full breakfast fundraiser event for the youth programs. At 10 a.m. there will be a story explaining the reason for celebrating Easter, followed by the egg hunt at 10:15 a.m. for children age 2 through 5th grade.
