Rep. Chuck Fleischmann announced today his first-quarter fundraising has provided his re-election campaign with $640,000 cash on hand, which he said is almost $275,000 more than his opponent, Weston Wamp.
"I am once again humbled and immeasurably grateful for the outpouring of support I received from the people of the Third District and those across the country who are confident in my proven conservative record," said Rep. Fleischmann. "With these funds, I can continue to share my vision of a smaller and fiscally responsible federal government."
Finance Director Bryan Kaegi said, "Not only has the campaign raised nearly $1 million for the 2014 cycle, but in the two weeks since the first quarter of 2014 ended we have raised an additional $50,000 on the heels of the revelation that Weston Wamp secretly recorded Scottie Mayfield in his home."
The Fleischmann campaign raised over $300,000 in the first quarter of 2014.
