Gary Henry To Be Installed As President Of Chattanooga Chapter Of The Federal Bar Association; Former U.S. Attorney Gonzales To Speak

The Chattanooga chapter of the Federal Bar Association will hold its annual meeting on Feb. 12 with attorney Gary L. Henry being installed as president.

The meeting will be from 11:30 to 1 p.m. at the Convention Center.

Attorney Henry is with the firm of Gearhiser, Peters, Elliott & Cannon.

The chapter will also welcome former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales as guest speaker. He will discuss his experiences in the Bush administration as well as current issues relating to national security and the law.

EPB Seeks 3.5% Rate Increase; First Since 2011

EPB on Friday morning asked its board of directors to consider a 3.5 percent rate increase to monthly electric power charges for customers, effective July 1. The board is set to vote on the measure in June. New CARTA Service To Enterprise South Industrial Park Has "Medium" Success So Far

CARTA officials said its new bus service from downtown to the Enterprise South Industrial Park is meeting with "medium" success thus far. Lisa Maragnano, executive director, said there have been 313 riders on the routes that began at the first of the month.
