Bradley County Commission Continues To Explore Animal Service Options

  • Tuesday, December 9, 2014

During a short Bradley County Commission meeting on Monday afternoon, Commissioner Dan Rawls made a motion to rescind the notice to cure letter to the SPCA.

In the previous meeting, the commission voted to send the letter after much discussion. Commissioner Rawls' motion will appear on the agenda for the upcoming meeting, a voting session.

Commissioner Milan Blake also announced that a work session will be held on Dec. 18 to discuss the funding of the Lake Forrest Middle School project.

Commissioner Jeff Yarber made a motion to reestablish the ad hoc committee that was previously appointed to explore animal service options with the city.

If the county decides to end their contract with the SPCA, they will likely look to work with the city again for animal control services.
