Daniel T. Higdon, Sr., 71, of Crossville, TN, died Friday, December 26, 2014.
He was a member of Vandever Baptist Church. Daniel was a retired United States Army Veteran, where he served in the Vietnam Conflict and Operation Desert Storm. He was retired from the Bledsoe Correctional Complex.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Willie Higdon; and sister, Rebecca Faye Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Higdon, of Crossville; sons, Daniel T. (Jessica) Higdon, Jr., of Dunlap and Jonathan (Amie) Higdon, Crossville; daughters, Tammy (Avery) Watson, Pikeville, Deanna (Tony) Davis, Georgia and Joanie (Jimmy) Davis, Spencer; 12 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; mother, Josephine Higdon, Dunlap; brother, Jerry Higdon, Whitwell; sisters, Glendon Lance, Tracy City and Jean (Gene) Layne, Dunlap; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday, December 29, at 1 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Hale Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Hwy 127 South, Pikeville, where visitation will be Sunday, December 28 from 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
