Norma Kathleen Hunter Warren, 86, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, December 25, 2014.
She was a member of Northside Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Captain Thomas Joseph Warren, Jr. and her parents, Kathleen Lillian Gray Hunter and Daniel Addison Hunter. A graduate of City High School, she attended Edmondson School of Business, Chattanooga, and worked at her father's dry cleaning shop, Big Four Cleaners on Fourth St. Later she worked at various jobs: Hamilton County annual Auto Tag Renewal, retiring from Zayre-East Ridge, Goody's-Hixson, and was a volunteer at T. C. Thompson Children's Hospital as a Pink Lady and later as an office volunteer at Memorial Hospital-North Park Physical Therapy and at her church.
Survivors include her children, daughter, Mary Lorraine (Lorrie) Warren (David J.) Kent and son, Daniel Thomas Warren; and by her grandchildren, Michael David (Lydia J.) Kent, Kellie Lorraine Kent (Henry C.) Currin, Jennifer Kathleen Kent, and Christine Paige Kent; and great-grandchildren, Moses Warren, Jude Benjamin, and Mercy Louise Kent.
The family is grateful for the staff members at NHC Rossville who loved and cared for her in the last four years and for her long-time friend, Regina (Dean) Melton.
The family will receive friends on Monday, Dec. 29, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Reverend Joe Novenson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bryan College, Richmont Graduate University or Reformed University Fellowship.
