Addie Burgess
Addie Lee Burgess, 87, of Hixson passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014.
Mrs. Burgess retired from Dixie Yarns after 28 years of service. She was a long time member of Middle Valley Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Martin Burgess, Sr.; son, Marty Burgess; brothers, Emmett Hendon, C.C. Hendon and Enmon Hendon; sister, Louise Grogan.
Survivors include her daughters, Brenda (Marvin) Hill of Hixson and Pat (Larry) Miller of Soddy Daisy; brother, H.R. "Buck" Hendon of Centre, AL; sister, Earline Stinson of Centre, AL; daughter-in-law, Karen Burgess of Rossville; grandchildren, Tim (Angie) Hill, Chuck (Kellie) Hill, Tisa (Jeff) Breeden, Travis Buxmann and Vance Buxmann; great-grandchildren, Trevor Walker, Jacob, Bailie and Parker Meighan and Lela Breeden.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 30, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mitch McClure officiating.
Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29, at the funeral home.
