Julius "Jack" Jackson Ellison, 80, of Chickamauga, Georgia, died on Wednesday, December 24, 2014.
He was born in Chickamauga, to the late James F. and Eria Mammie Campbell Ellison. He was a graduate of Gordon Lee High School Class of 1953. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1954 - 1956. He had lived most of his life in Chickamauga where he enjoyed gardening and bread making. He was the former owner/operator of Jack Ellison's Plumbing. He was a member of Cove Methodist Church in Chickamauga.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Ellison, his wife, Delores Ann Parrish Ellison, second wife, Ann Rosser Ellison and her daughter, Annette Wood.
He is survived by his and Delores's children, Terry (Karen) Ellison of Chickamauga, Teresa Ann (Allen "E.T.") Roden of LaFayette, step-son, Steve Wood of Lebanon, Tn., grandchildren, Amanda Brock, Stacey Taylor, Corey Ellison, Chris Wood, Heather Wood, great-grandchildren: Darrell Kennedy II, Allie Kennedy, Donnie Brock III, Waylan Taylor, Jack Ellison, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Dec. 26, from 5–8 p.m. and Saturday morning prior to the service.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27, in the J. Avery Bryan Chapel. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens-South - Rossville.
