Hannah T. Lusk, 80, died on December 19, 201 in Birmingham, Alabama. 

She received her high school diploma and was a graduate of Council Training in 1953. She also received her nursing degree registered nurse from Grady Memorial Hospital.

Ms. Hannah was employed at the Hamilton County Health Department for 31 years. She also served as the secretary for NAACP. She attended St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and walking.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Laura Jones and Chester Roosevelt Toney.

Survivors include her husband, Marchel Lusk of Chattanooga; daughter, Velda W. Wilson; and grandchildren, Sterling R. Williams and Ethan R. Williams.

Funeral services will be held on 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 29, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.  Interment will be in National Cemetery.

The body will lie in state after noon on Sunday, Dec. 27, and the family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
