Clinton Charles Burger, 57, of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Friday morning, December 19, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family following a battle with head, face and neck cancer.
Clinton was born in Cleveland, TN on February 16, 1957 a son of the late Richard and Jean Burger. Clinton was a talented musician in many respects, but he was mostly known as a phenomenal piano player. He was an instrument technician, with the ability to repair and tune any instrument.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Anthony John Burger.
Clinton is survived by his loving wife, Janet Rae Burger; one son, Richard Travis Burger and his fiancée Leighann Newberry; one daughter, Tabitha Jean Burger; his grandsons, Kaleb Triplett and Karson Huff; his great-granddaughter, Brelee Mae Triplett; step-grandchildren, Kayla Nelson & Katelynn Allmon; one brother, Randy Burger; three nephews; one niece; several cousins; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
A funeral service is planned for Tuesday, December 23 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN.
The family will receive friends in the chapel on Tuesday, December 23 from 5-7 p.m.
The family wanted to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga and its employees, the Crisis Care Team and the Cleveland Team.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Chattanooga or to the family to help with his medical bills to P.O. Box 2333, Cleveland, TN 37320.
