Avis Smith
Avis Eustice Smith, 81, of Soddy Daisy, died quietly at home on Wednesday, December 17, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Smith; son, Ray; parents, James and Grace Eustice, five brothers and two sisters. She was a mother to many and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her sister, Eunice Sluder; daughters, Maureen (Allen) Wilson; Darlene (Bob) Smith, Patty (James) Young, Cheryl (Jerry) Brisky and Kimberly (Eddie) Thomas as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 20, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with her nephew Layne Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Visitation is on Friday, Dec. 19, from 12-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
