Robert Stahl, Chattanooga city president of Southern Community Bank, announced Karen Tindell and Kelly Still have joined the Chattanooga branch.

“Karen joins the staff as assistant vice president and Kelly joins the staff as a commercial lender,” said Mr. Stahl.  “Together Karen and Kelly collectively have over 50 years’ experience in the financial industry with regional and community banks.  They bring this expertise to Southern Community Bank enabling them to provide prompt and efficient customer service.”

Ms. Tindell studied business administration/accounting concentration at UTC and was with her previous bank employer for over 14 years.  “I am very excited to introduce Southern Community Bank to Chattanooga," said Ms. Tindell.  "I know the people and businesses downtown and in the surrounding areas will love our customer service that is unlike all the rest.”

Ms. Still began her banking career right out of school as a teller and working her way up to assistant vice president/branch manager at her previous employer.  “Working at Southern Community Bank is a wonderful experience," said Ms. Still.  "It is a place that genuinely cares about their customers and employees.  It is nice to get back to my roots of hometown banking – simple and true.”

Southern Community Bank currently has $161 million in assets, $141 million in deposits and $121 million in loans.  In addition to the branch in Chattanooga other branches include Murfreesboro and Tullahoma, Tennessee and Huntsville, Alabama.  For more information on Southern Community Bank visit the website at www.mysoutherncommunitybank.com.
